February 2023 - Month in review

In the month of Feb 2023 this is what I spent my time (life) on:

  1. Sleep
7.03 hrs per day is fine though Elon said he sleeps average 6 hours a day - so I think we can improve on this, given we are not exercising as much and dont need too much sleep
  2. Job
2.05 hrs/day this has been reduced because mid-Feb I decided that the job tag was a bit ambiguous and should not be used any more - it is better to log what I was actually doing - eg - programming? linux? or talking to other people
  3. Linux
1.16hrs /day  has come from job work
  4. Driving
1.10 hrs per day on this is definitely not okay, especially when we have the option to work from home. I dont want to waste my life sitting in traffic because this means I am not focusing on reading a book, learning from udemy etc or programming and doing linux stuff.
  5. Writing
1.01 hrs per day - this is awesome :) I will keep it up - it is what I am doing now. Most of what I write is Qna I make a list of questions and then answer a select few, I do this quiet a lot and this has helped me make good decisions.
  6. Other People
0.95 hrs per day - well I need to look at the ROI from my interactions with other people, at times this means me being unconscious and talking or interacting with other people aimlessly or at times fights at home. I want to spend less life on such interactions - and more on the good moments with other people. this is still okay up to a point as we do live in the world and the reality is that a human needs to sleep, eat and talk to other people. However, I definitely need to improve my social skills, like communication skills, and get better at reducing the time-wasting when working or interacting with others, while being forgiving and not getting into a verbal fist fight over petty stuff.
  7. Food
0.92 hrs per day - good to see that the time on food has reduced to under one hour - I have also started cooking a few times in the month. So apparently things seem to be improving - I would say this is possibly because of the Qna around food.
  8. Reading
0.77 hrs per day - this is epic - I dont know why young people (that is us babies under the age of 30) are not advised to read more by the older generation (eg our parents)
  9. Social Skills
22:43 hours or 2.83% of my time (life) in Feb 2023 was spent on improving my social skills, Thanks to Owen Cook (aka RSD Tyler).
  10. Programming
    19:35 2.44%
I need to spend more time
