Why you must Blog as a Software Developer?
So you are thinking about blogging - perhaps you read it in a book that you need to blog or you got the idea while showering or you just stumbled here from the rabbit hole of the interwebs, whatever may be the case let's explore the topic of blogging in this new decade.

Questions we will explore:
1. Is blogging still worth it? and will it stay potent?
2. Reasons to Blog as a software developer.
Is (was?) blogging a bubble?
I feel No.
Even though most of my answers have been answered at stackoverflow.com I think blogging is still worth it and important.
1. It helps you share your unique example of that cool exciting thing you are working on.
2. It helps you find your people.
3. It helps you organize and discuss your ideas and the topics you really want to zone in on.
4. It's fun.
5. It gives you exposure to other developers and work opportunities.
And as a Software Developer, it's even more so important for you to share what you made or discovered so that other people who are in trouble or trying to do something similar to what you are working on can build on top of what you are building.
I mean Github and other websites are good and all but Blogging and making videos about what you did adds another layer of communication and should I say MARKETING to your code.
I also feel that as Software Developers we need to also learn to do a bit of video communication for the public - like how Chris Titus does it and like how The Tech Lead does it.
They cover topics that interest them on their youtube channels and it is so interesting to see and learn from them.
And let's face it - not many people read these days, I don't - youtube and the yottabytes of videos and audio content available at our fingertips for entertainment may make it just plan harder for a blog to win while competing with video and audio, but then we still have tools like the text to speech to fix that problem a bit, not to mention the downsides of video creation.
So this post was my first after a long while and I will keep updating this and sharing what I've been up to.
Until next time
